Alex Gibson
Alex Gibson has specialised in the study of the Neolithic and Bronze Age for over 40 years and has published books and specialist reports on subjects such as ceramics, burials, monuments and settlement. He has been a council member of a number of academic societies and has been secretary vice-president and President of the Prehistoric Society. In 2022, he was the winner of the British Academy Grahame Clark medal for Prehistoric Archaeology. He has worked for the Clwyd-Powys Archaeological Trust, English Heritage and latterly lectured in Neolithic and Bronze Age archaeology at the University of Bradford until his retirement in 2018.
